About Us

Basic Information:
The Discipleship House is based on the Great Commission in which God calls us to evangelize, teach, and disciple. Our belief is that the three of these goals are intertwined with one another and that Christians must actively seek to serve God through serving others. We also believe that working for the "Lord" is not optional but is commanded. Faith without works is dead and others will know Christ's followers by the fruits they bear (Matthew 7, James 2). The ministry is interdenominational and includes believers from Baptist, Charismatic, Catholic and other Christian faiths. We are one body serving one God.

History:
The Discipleship House originated from a group of 2009 Simon Kenton High School seniors who were not content with ending their Biblical studies as an FCA group after graduation.  After the group's senior Baccalaureate service, the group started meeting weekly in an effort to strengthen their faith and to deepen their Biblical understanding.  Over time, God developed things and the group was able to send out teams to help with local ministry projects, well representing several local area churches in the process.  In 2012, Discipleship House sent its first international mission trip to Casa de Fe in Guadalajara, Mexico.  In 2013, mission teams were sent to Guadalajara, Jamaica, Grenada, Ontario, and Detroit, as well as serving in several other local ministries and churches.  Since this time, the Discipleship House has been working to send mission teams around North and Centrals America and hosting various worship and Bible study activities.

Current & Future:

As Discipleship House moves forward, the intention is to continue discipling and raising up strong Christian leaders in the Northern Kentucky area, training them in the Word of God, equipping them for the ministry, and sending them out into various local and foreign ministry fields.  The Great Commission calls Christians to disciple, teach, and evangelize and those are the emphasis of the Discipleship House.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.
